How stores using SpecialShelf ask to text you

SpecialShelf is the special-orders desk independent shops use to track customer orders. A store texts you only about an order you placed with it, and only after you agree at the counter.

1. Staff ask you out loud

When you place a special order, staff read this to you:

“Can we text you updates about your order? Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

2. Staff record your answer

Only if you say yes, staff tick this box on the order screen. It records who asked, and when:

Ask: “Can we text you updates about your order? Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

Customer agreed to texts about their orders
The consent checkbox on the SpecialShelf order screen, before anyone ticks it.

If you say no, or don't answer, the box stays empty and you get email only.

What you'll get

How to stop

Reply STOP to any text and you'll get no more texts from that store. Replying something like “please stop texting me” works too. Reply HELP for help, or call the store. Reply START to turn texts back on.

Your number and consent are used only for your orders with that store, and never sold or shared for marketing.
